Trio Lys is looking for answers on their musical journey through Scandinavia. They focus on the strong contrast between tradition and modernity - their program combines musical myths and closeness to nature with minimalism, chaos and the fast pace of modern society.

In duo and trio formations (clarinet, cello and piano) they present various chamber music works by Nordic composers from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. A finely crafted lighting concept, as well as literary excerpts from Scandinavian writers and poets, underline the contrasts of day and night, the interplay of Light and shadow, as well as the diverse timbres of Nordic music.

This concert takes the audience on a unique musical journey through Scandinavia, focuses on utopian concepts and ideas of Scandinavian culture, and at the same time creates space for critically questioning one's own utopias, personal ideals and last but not least our society in general.
